There are several bodies of water that you can fish from in this park, including the Big Walnut, Alum, and Blacklick creeks. You can also fish from Turtle Pond and Heron Pond. Heron Pond is ideal for shore anglers looking for catfish, bluegill, and largemouth bass. The creeks are ideal for fishers who want to wade into the water to get a bite. If you're looking for rock bass, saugeye, sunfish, or smallmouth bass, we recommend scouting out deep pools in Big Walnut Creek or Alum Creek. more 2. Buckeye Lake State Park We also recommend visiting one of the oldest state parks in Ohio, Buckeye Lake State Park at 2871 Liebs Island Road. Note that there is a lot more to do at Scioto Audubon Metro Park than fishing and boating. Canoeing and kayaking are other popular outdoor activities that are often enjoyed in this state park.
