The 2022 Ford Edge elevates the SUV game by delivering modern style, innovative technology, and impressive capabilities. The Edge is large and spacious in all the right places and is equipped with all the necessities. The 2022 model may be Ford's most impressive SUV to date. Read on to discover why the Ford Edge is such an amazing vehicle. 1. Performance The Ford Edge offers a smooth ride, paired nicely with the plush interior. With its 2.0L 4 cylinder engine, the Edge accelerates swiftly. The 2.0L engine offers an adequate 250 horsepower, but if that's not enough, then Ford has a stronger option. The Edge ST comes equipped with a 2.7L V6 engine, which muscles its way through the competition with 335 horsepower. One of the main worries for SUVs is how loud the exterior noise is inside the cabin. You'll be delighted to hear that the Edge delivers a near-silent ride, even on the highway. Ford's sound dampening body design ensures that the Edge's interior remains serene. 2. Technology One of the Edge's key features is the seamless joining of style and technology. Both features play so well off of each other, creating a comfortable and pleasant ride. Right on the center console is a large twelve-inch touchscreen, powered by Ford Sync 4A. Get navigation directions, alerts about your vehicle, answer calls, and change music all with the tap of a finger. Sync 4A also delivers voice recognition, helping you stay focused on the road. With FordPass Connect, you'll have access to a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot inside of your vehicle - keeping everyone entertained. The Edge also offers four USB ports, so everyone can stay plugged in and charging all at once. 3. Safety Features The 2022 Edge is equipped with all the standard safety features, and then some. Some standard features include a rearview camera, auto high-beam headlamps, and blind-spot monitoring systems. Advanced features include evasive steering assist, enhanced active park assist, and adaptive cruise control. Evasive steering provides extra steering support to make it easier to steer out of the way of a sudden obstacle. While next to a parking spot and with the car in neutral, active park will use an autopilot-like mode to help you parallel park with ease. The adaptive cruise control system will keep pace with the car in front of it, slowing and accelerating (to the set speed) as necessary. This system can also read the lane markings, helping you stay centered. The 2022 Edge offers everything needed in an SUV, a spacious interior, helpful technological systems, and necessary safety features. The 2022 Edge is indeed “Built Ford Tough”, but it also combines the best features of its competitors into one beautiful machine. When looking for a car dealer, it would be ideal to find one with the qualities of the Edge - capable, intelligent, and an expert at what it does. The Importance of an Oil Change Service for Your Vehicle Do you know what the most important routine vehicle maintenance is? You guessed right. It is changing your vehicle’s oil. Regularly changing your vehicle’s oil is a key factor in keeping your vehicle running properly for years to come and getting your oil changed at any Coughlin Cars location in central Ohio is a quick and easy service. Let’s look into some of the reasons you should regularly change your oil. Regular Oil Change Services = A Healthy Vehicle Build-up from dirty oil makes your vehicle’s engine work harder. An engine that is working harder will result in more issues than needed. This means that your engine will not last as long as it should. We should also note that a vehicle that is regularly maintained will have a higher trade-in value when you visit Coughlin Cars for your next vehicle. Regular Oil Changes Result in Better Gas Mileage When searching for a new vehicle, we all look for a vehicle with superb gas mileage. Did you know that if your engine’s lubrication is poor – it will lead to lower gas mileage? The U.S. Department of Energy stated that gas mileage is improved overtime with routine, proper oil changes. Having a Quick Oil Change Will Keep your Engine Clean When oil flows into the engine; dust, dirt and other particles start to accumulate in the oil. If you are regularly changing your oil, the particles do not have time to build up to form unwanted sludge in your engine. With a quick oil change, you will remove these particles from your vehicle before they are able to cause harm to your engine. Keeping your Engine’s Parts and Components Cool Without the proper oil and lubrication, your engine’s parts will start to create friction. The more friction there is will lead to more heat. It is also important to note that if you let your oil become contaminated with dust and debris, the engine’s components will become covered in sludge which leads to the heat staying in the components for a longer period of time. By having clean oil in your vehicle, the parts will have less friction. This means there is less of a chance of your engine over-heating. Clean Oil Maintains Engine Lubrication There are countless moving parts under the hood of your vehicle that are moving at quick speeds. Without the proper lubrication, from clean oil, these parts will create more heat and, in return, break down. Having the correct and clean oil is a crucial step in making these components and parts run properly. Interested in starting a regular schedule for getting an oil change near you? Coughlin Cars offers quick oil changes at all of our service locations in Chillicothe, Circleville, Heath, Marysville, Newark and Pataskala.
