1. Enjoy the Seasons Outdoors at Lynd Fruit Farm

Lynd Fruit Farm at 9399 Morse Road SW in Pataskala is a hub of year-round activity. In addition to the ever-popular seasonal pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and blueberries, the farm hosts Peach Fest at the end of August and from August 24 to September 4, when the fields turn yellow with millions of blooming sunflowers, bands play, and it’s time for the Mini Crafters’ Show.

The Lynd Farm Market, open Tuesdays to Saturdays, offers homegrown produce year-round. In spring and early summer, fruits and veggies are abundant, with fresh offerings of the sweetest plums, blueberries, and strawberries. The summer season provides sweetcorn, zucchini, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, peaches, and nectarines. In mid-August, the apples are ready, and in fall, there are free hay rides, a corn maze to get lost in, and pumpkin picking.

2. Tee Off at the Best Courses in Town

Pataskala boasts two excellent golf courses: the Cumberland Trail Golf Club course at 8244 Columbia Road SW and the Willow Run Golf Course at 1158 Hazleton Etna Road. The Cumberland Trail Golf Club has a challenging 18-hole course with impeccable greens, over 60 strategically placed bunkers, and water features.

There’s a practice facility with putting greens and a chipping area, a golf shop, and the Cumberland Bar and Grill, ideal for relaxing after a few hours of golfing. The Willow Run Golf Course will test your skills and capabilities with its unique layout, plenty of water, bunkers, bentgrass greens, and Ohio bluegrass fairways. The course’s back nine is said to have one of the most challenging par 4s in the state, the 13th.

3. Get Active in the City Parks

Pataskala has seven community parks that offer a wide range of outdoor amenities. Foundation Park at 10255 McIntosh Road, has two trails, a beautiful woodland to explore, a fishing pond to wet your hook, and scenic picnic areas. Municipal Park along Township Road is the home of the Pataskala Community Pool, with lifeguards on duty throughout the summer, a grassy area, a covered pavilion, and a concession stand.

If you want to keep fit, head to the 9-acre Karr Park at 621 Broad Street SW. The park has multi-generational fitness equipment, a functional fitness rig, and a walking path. The 8-acre Liberty Park on Roscommon Drive is an excellent spot for fishing and paddling on the 2-acre pond and barbecuing on the patio with family and friends.

Get off the couch and away from your screen and enjoy all the fun and excitement out in the fresh air. Make a stop at Coughlin Ford of Pataskala, part of the fun, and take a new 2023 Ford for a test drive
