2023 Ford F-650 SD

The Ford-650 SD trims include Gas Pro Loader, Diesel Pro Loader, Gas Straight Frame, and Diesel Straight Frame. All trims come with a front-end tilting fiberglass hood and fender assembly and can come with two doors for the regular cab or four doors with the SuperCab and Crew Cab variations. You get two frame-mounted tow hooks on this super-duty truck and body-building wiring behind the cab. While a black or gray front grille comes standard across the 2023 650-SD lineup, you can opt for a chrome grille. Additional exterior options include power-folding and power-telescoping mirrors with heated glass, a roof marker with clearance lights, and a backup alarm.

Under the hood of the 2023 F-650 SD Gas Pro Loader and Straight Frame, you'll find a class-exclusive 7.3-liter V-8 gas engine pumping out 335 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque at 3,750 rpm. Moving over to the diesel option, you get the standard 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V-8 engine that produces 270 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque. You can also get this engine with an output of 300horsepower and 725 pound-feet of torque or 330 horsepower with 750 pound-feet of torque. Both engines pair with a Ford TorqShift HD six-speed automatic transmission with a tow/haul feature. You can also get this TorqShift transmission with live-drive power takeoff provision with both stationary and mobile modes.

The diesel variation of the Ford F-650 comes with an operator-commanded regeneration system with active inhibit. This innovative system allows the driver to burn off excess soot buildup with the push of a button. Both gas and diesel variations come equipped with 8,500-pound parabolic taper-leaf springs with shock absorbers for the front suspension system of this truck. You can also opt for stronger 10,000 to 14,000-pound parabolic taper-leaf springs if needed. The rear suspension system has standard 15,500-pound multi-leaf springs with a variable rate, or you can choose the optional 19,000 to 31,000-pound multi-leaf springs depending on the trim.
